Morbi, in Gujarat, is often called the ceramic capital of India — and for good reason. The cluster produces an enormous volume of vitrified, porcelain and ceramic tiles across a vast range of sizes and finishes.
For an overseas buyer, the challenge isn't finding tiles — it's finding the right grade, a consistent shade across repeat orders, and packaging that survives an ocean voyage. This is where working with a merchant exporter changes the equation.
Start by defining the application: high-traffic commercial floors need double-charge vitrified or porcelain with low water absorption, while wall applications can use glazed ceramic. Confirm the size, finish and shade, then lock a reference sample before production.
Finally, plan the container. Mixed-design containers are common, but shade lots must be managed carefully. A good exporter consolidates, palletizes and documents the load so it clears customs cleanly at destination.
